Itinerary
Day 1 - Arrival in Ranchi – Waterfalls and Natural Wonders
- Morning:
- Arrive at Ranchi Railway Station or Birsa Munda Airport.
- Meet your tour representative and transfer to your hotel. Complete check-in formalities and freshen up.
Midday – Nature Escapade:
- Begin your exploration with a visit to Hundru Falls, one of Jharkhand’s tallest waterfalls cascading from a height of 98 meters. Take in the misty views, enjoy the roaring sound of the falls, and snap some stunning pictures.
- Continue to Jonha Falls (Gautamdhara), located amidst lush forest cover. Be prepared for a short trek down approximately 500 steps – the scenic waterfall is worth the descent. Also, visit the nearby Buddhist shrine dedicated to Lord Gautama Buddha.
Evening:
- Return to Ranchi by around 5:00 PM.
- Head to the serene Rock Garden, built on a rocky hill, offering beautiful landscaping and sculptures.
- Take a peaceful stroll near Kanke Dam, an ideal spot to catch a glorious sunset over the lake.
Overnight stay: Ranchi.
Day 2 -Ranchi Heritage & Cultural Exploration
- Morning:
- Start the day with a tranquil visit to the Jagannath Temple, perched atop a hill offering panoramic views of the city – a perfect spot for sunrise and spiritual reflection.
- Proceed to Mudma Sarna Sthal in the Ranchi district – a sacred site for the tribal Sarna religion. The village of Mudma, around 35 km from Ranchi, is known for its deep-rooted indigenous traditions and tribal heritage.
Afternoon:
- Visit Tagore Hill, named after the poet Rabindranath Tagore. The hill is a popular spot for leisurely walks and scenic photography.
- Explore Ranchi’s colonial past with visits to the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart and Gossner Evangelical Lutheran Church, both showcasing distinct European-style architecture.
Evening:
- Unwind by Ranchi Lake, where you can enjoy boating or relax at a lakeside café (subject to availability).
- Optional: Stop by Ranchi Haat – a cultural hub where you can purchase local handicrafts, tribal jewelry, and textiles. (Closes around 7–8 PM)

Day 3 - Museums, Wildlife & Journey to Khunti
- Morning:
- Check out and head to the State Museum at Hotwar, an insightful stop to understand Jharkhand’s tribal history, archaeology, and art.
- Optional (Time Permitting): Visit Birsa Zoological Park (Ormanjhi) – a spacious wildlife park housing tigers, elephants, deer, and birds in a natural habitat.
Afternoon:
- Depart for Khunti, a scenic 1.5-hour drive through Jharkhand’s countryside.
- En route, stop for lunch at a local dhaba or roadside eatery.
- On arrival, visit:
- Panchghagh Falls – A mesmerizing formation where the Banai River splits into five distinct streams flowing over rocky terrain.
- Perwaghagh Falls – A peaceful and lesser-known destination, named the “House of Pigeons”, ideal for quiet relaxation or a picnic.
Optional (with additional cost):
- Visit Maa Dewri Temple, located about an hour from Ranchi. This revered tribal-Hindu temple is unique for its dual priesthood—both tribal and Brahmin.
Evening:
- Check in at your accommodation in Khunti.
- Spend the evening relaxing or take a walk through the local market to experience small-town Jharkhand.

Day 4 - Tribal Heritage Trail – Khunti to Ranchi via Dassam Falls
- Morning:
- Enjoy breakfast at your hotel and prepare for an immersive cultural journey.
- Visit:
- Ulihatu Village, the birthplace of Bhagwan Birsa Munda, a legendary tribal freedom fighter. Explore his ancestral home and learn about his impact on India’s independence movement.
- Dombari Buru, a historic hilltop where Birsa Munda led a significant tribal uprising. At the summit stands a 110-foot memorial pillar commemorating tribal martyrs.
- Nearby indigenous tribal villages offer a chance to witness local customs, handicrafts, traditional homes, and the Sarna way of life.
Afternoon:
- Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant or homestay with authentic tribal cuisine.
- On the return journey to Ranchi, stop at Dassam Falls, one of Jharkhand’s most powerful and scenic waterfalls. Feel the spray and unwind on the riverside rocks.

Day 5 - Departure from Ranchi
- Morning:
- Enjoy a relaxed breakfast at the hotel.
- Check out and proceed to Ranchi Railway Station or Airport for your return journey, carrying memories of Jharkhand’s vibrant culture, scenic beauty, and warm hospitality.

Package Policy & Terms
- All packages (except fixed departures) are customizable.
- All communication must be in writing; verbal commitments are not accepted.
- JharkhandDMC.com reserves the right to make itinerary changes due to unforeseen circumstances.
- Package is confirmed only upon receipt of advance payment.
- Complimentary upgrades (hotels, rooms, or transport) may be offered subject to availability.
Cancellation Policy
- All cancellations must be submitted in writing.
- Token amount is non-refundable under any circumstances.
- Cancellations made 15 days before travel may incur charges between 25%–50% of total cost.
- No refunds for cancellations within 15 days or in case of “no show.”
- No refunds for unused services, including transport, meals, sightseeing, etc.
- JharkhandDMC.com may cancel bookings due to insufficient advance payment.
- Services will be immediately suspended if guests are found involved in illegal or violent behavior.
